Full-Time Commercial Credit Analyst – Main Office, Rockland
South Coastal Bank has an immediate job opportunity for a Full-Time Commercial Credit Analyst for its Commercial Lending Department in Rockland.
The Credit Analyst reports directly to the Senior Lending Officer and is responsible for performing credit analysis for new loan requests and overseeing and administering a portfolio of existing commercial loans; including preparing annual loan reviews and modifications as well as tracking financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial statements, management profiles, business/ product cycles, historical operating performance and cash flow ability to develop an assessment of credit risk
- Effectively and accurately complete credit underwriting for small to mid-size Commercial Loan requests including but not limited to Commercial Mortgages, Commercial and Industrial as well as Working Capital Revolving Credit Loans
- Prepare and review in-depth written analyses for relationships of various size and complexity, ensuring that the completed product is in compliance with laws, regulations and guidelines, as well as policies specific to the Bank
- Perform analysis and research required for the annual review of all Borrower relationships as well as the annual review/ renewal of all Working Capital Revolving Lines of Credit
- Track the receipt of all financial items requests as required by the Bank on a quarterly as well as annual basis
- Maintain the Borrowers credit files, ensuring that all financial items received have been placed in the file and that the files are complete and sufficiently updated
- Interact with customers, Bank officers and Loan Operations to respond to inquiries, questions, problems and other credit issues on a timely basis
- Ongoing training to further overall banking background
- Represent South Coastal Bank in the community and at business and professional association functions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years work experience, 3-5 preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Excellent computer skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with the public; work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to be accurate in details
- Ability to deal with and show discretion in confidential matters
- 25% availability to travel outside of 25-mile radius
- Ability to sit, drive, bend, answer the phone and perform computer input

Full-Time Mortgage Underwriter – Ledgewood Place Office, Rockland
South Coastal Bank has an immediate job opportunity for a Full-Time Mortgage Underwriter for its Ledgewood Place Office in Rockland.
The Mortgage Underwriter reports directly to the Consumer Lending Operations Manager and is responsible for approving residential mortgage loans according to secondary market and portfolio guidelines according to established lending authorities:
- Performs credit analysis of residential loans
- Reviews collateral appraisal reports for compliance with secondary market guidelines
- Assures collateral appraisal reports conform to Appraisal Code of Conduct
- Helps clear investor non-fund conditions
- Maintains compliance with all relative bank policies, including all state and federal regulations that govern residential lending
- Reviews quality control request from secondary market investors
- Signs and issues residential mortgage commitment letters
- Maintains compliance with all related bank policies, confidentiality, Bank Secrecy Act, standardized procedures and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Requires 3-5 years experience in Underwriting Conforming and Non-Conforming products
- High School Diploma required
